6 Days Egypt gems Luxury Tour Package
A private experience shaped around your time and interests.
⭐ 5.0 Rated | Licensed Egyptologist Guides | Free Cancellation | Hotel Pickup Included
Three cities. The full arc of Egypt's history.
Cairo is the entry point. Luxor is an open-air museum. Aswan is where the ancient world meets the Nile at its most photogenic. Together they tell the complete story — from the Old Kingdom pyramids to the temples of the New Kingdom to the Ptolemaic structures on the water. This six-day itinerary is the shortest route to that full picture. It moves efficiently — because time in each city is valuable — but never at the cost of the experience in any one of them.
Highlights
- Grand Egyptian Museum — Tutankhamun's collection in full, with context from your private Egyptologist
- Giza Plateau — all three pyramid complexes, the Sphinx, the Solar Boat Museum
- Saqqara — the Step Pyramid of Djoser, the world's oldest monumental stone structure, and the painted mastaba tombs
- Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut's Temple, and the Colossi of Memnon
- Karnak and Luxor Temples — 2,000 years of Egyptian religious architecture explained in sequence
- Philae Temple in Aswan — the island temple of Isis, reached by motorboat
- Three cities, two domestic flights — no overnight trains
Who This Tour Is For
- Travelers with one week in Egypt who want to see the complete story, not a fragment
- Those who have been to Egypt before and want to go deeper into the sites they passed too quickly
- Couples and small groups who want privacy and a dedicated guide throughout
What Makes This Tour Different
- Saqqara is included — the Step Pyramid complex that most tourists skip. It's older than Giza, less crowded, and gives the Old Kingdom its proper context before you even reach the Giza Plateau.
- Three-city arc in six days — the itinerary sequences Cairo, Luxor, and Aswan in a way that builds narrative, not just distance. Each city prepares you for the next.
- No handoffs — the same Egyptologist travels with you across all three cities. You're not handed from guide to guide as you move south.
- Philae Temple by motorboat — Aswan's Philae is reached by boat, which most visitors don't expect. It sits on an island, dedicated to Isis, relocated here stone by stone before the reservoir rose. Your guide explains the relocation while you're on the water.
What You'll Experience
Day 1 — Cairo: Arrival & Grand Egyptian Museum
The GEM is the starting point — not because it's easy, but because it provides the framework for everything that follows. After your arrival and check-in at your hotel, your Egyptologist spends the afternoon collecting you, catering to your interests.
Day 2 — Giza & Saqqara
Giza Plateau in the morning. Saqqara in the afternoon — the site most tourists skip, which is exactly why it's on this itinerary. The Step Pyramid of Djoser predates the pyramids at Giza by decades. The mastaba tombs here are among the best-preserved in Egypt.
Day 3 — Fly to Luxor: East Bank
Morning flight. Afternoon at Karnak Temple — the scale takes time to absorb. Luxor Temple at dusk, when the light makes a different case for the site entirely. Day 4 — Luxor: West Bank
Valley of the Kings. Hatshepsut's Temple at Deir el-Bahari. The Ramesseum. Three or four sites maximum — your guide chooses based on what you responded to at the GEM.
Day 5 — Fly to Aswan: Philae Temple & High Dam
Flight to Aswan. Philae Temple sits on an island in the Nile — accessed by motorboat. Dedicated to Isis, it was relocated stone by stone before the Aswan reservoir was filled. The High Dam — where your guide explains what building it cost in archaeological terms.
Day 6 — Aswan: Nubian Village & Departure Morning felucca ride. Optional visit to the Nubian Village. Private transfer to Aswan Airport for your departure flight.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is six days enough for Cairo, Luxor, and Aswan?
Six days covers the essential sites in all three cities without compression — provided the pacing is right. Aswan gets a proper half-day on Day 6, which is sufficient for Philae and the High Dam. If you want more time in Aswan or at Abu Simbel, the 9-day package can be extended accordingly.
What is Saqqara, and why does it appear on this itinerary?
Saqqara is the largest necropolis in ancient Egypt and the site of the Step Pyramid of Djoser — the oldest stone structure in the world, predating Giza by several decades. The painted mastaba tombs here are among the best-preserved in Egypt. It's on this itinerary because most visitors bypass it, and almost all later wish they hadn't.
Are domestic flights between cities included?
Yes. Flights from Cairo to Luxor and from Luxor to Aswan are included in the package. Flying rather than training saves a full day in each direction.
Can we extend to Aswan for a full day?
Yes. Aswan rewards a second day — Abu Simbel as a day trip, the Nubian Village, or simply more time on the Nile. The 9-day Elite Luxury package includes Abu Simbel as standard.
