Private Guided Day Tour to Giza and Saqqara from the Mena House Hotel

8 hours

Moderate

Can you do a tour visit to the Pyramids of Giza and Saqqara in just 9 hours and have as much fun as you should have if you’re spending days? Most definitely, yes! And this is something that our private guided day tour to Giza and Saqqara Pyramids can offer you.

As early said that this tour is a 9-hour tour, which means all the sightseeing you are doing is in 9 hours, and this is why we have scheduled an early 8 am departure from the Mena House Hotel.

From the hotel, you’d move straight to the Giza Necropolis to enjoy the glorious sights of some of the World famous archaeological sites in Giza of Egypt such as the Great Pyramid of Cheops  , the Pyramid of Khafre, and Pharaoh Menkuare.

Other sites to enjoy around the Giza Pyramids are the Great Sphinx which is a mystical statue that features the body of a lion and the head of a human, and which most of the time is the head of an Egyptian ruler.

Another site scheduled for you to visit on your Private Guided Day Tour   is the Valley Temple of Mummification that is also known as the Valley Temple of Khafre. This Valley Temple was erected to prepare (embalm and dry) the body (mummy) of an Egyptian King and to purify the body.

After then, you will head to visit the Step Pyramid of Djoser at Saqqara. The Step Pyramid of Djoser is the first Pyramid erected in the Third Dynasty and was erected to bury King Djoser. Other sites in Saqqara include the tomb of Kagemni where you learn much about daily life in Ancient Egypt and symbols such as Ankh . Then you explore the interior of the pyramid of Teti  with the Pyramid Texts on its walls.

This guided day tour includes other packages such as lunch, a 30 minutes ride on a camel, a drive in a private minivan that is Wi-Fi-enabled, and fully air-conditioned.

Two days in Luxor allow you to see the famous sites without rushing, and to reach the places that don't appear in most itineraries. Day one covers the Valley of the Kings and Karnak — the monuments almost everyone knows. Day two goes further: Abydos, where Egyptian religion began, and Deir el-Medina, the village of the workers who built the Valley of the Kings. Most visitors to Luxor spend one day and leave having seen the surface. Two days show you why this city was the religious capital of an empire for 500 years.
